Southside
Library

Students and parents of Southside Elementary need to send a resounding Thank You! to our District Representative, Blaine Galliher, and our State Senator, Larry Means,(along with Representatives Jack Page and Craig Ford) for earmarking part of the 1% Etowah County Sales Tax for School Libraries.  This will insure $2,500.00 each year to improve our media center resources and services. Please send them a card or email to let them know how much we appreciate their interest in our school libraries.  We still need their assistance in facilitating the State Board of Education's recommendation that our legislators restore full funding for Alabama libraries.
The email address for Rep. Galliher is blaine2@mindspring.com, his address is P. O. Box 4353, Gadsden,AL 35904. The email address for Sen. Means is alsenate@mindspring.com, his address is 1106 6th St., Attalla, AL  35954.
Please communicate our thanks for their help in improving library services and our confidence that they will continue their support in the future.
